The Merrill's

Well the week was amazing. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms and bottles of champagne. We had more laughs with everyone and were able to just sit back and enjoy the day of our wedding. We want to thank everyone for making the trip and celebrating with us Cabo style. I would also like to thank the wonderful Canadian woman we met who thought I was a professional entertainer after seeing my karaoke performance. As many people as we had there, there were many more that were not able to make the trip. Here are some pictures to share of the day. Much love to all!

Two Weeks

Okay so we are down to the wire now. The wedding is in two weeks and things have been crazy. With Papa in tough shape and Nana at the Nursing home making regular suicide threats, I have not had too much time to think about the wedding. Thanks to everyone who is helping me out with the little things that I never even thought about. Luckily the coordinators and staff at the hotel have been extremely helpful, its just a matter of having the time to sit at the computer and harass them with last minute questions.

As far as we are concerned, everyone is all set with the hotel. If there are any issues we are working them out on our end. Since we arrive a bit after you all, we ask that you speak directly to our coordinators if there is a problem. Jesus Ezilalde and Luis Castillo. THey have been absolutely fantastic and are great to work with.

We are arriving on Friday in the afternoon and plan on catching up with everyone at the hotel. On Saturday we leave around 4 for the sunset cruise and will be providing transportation to and from the hotel to Cabo San Lucas. The bus will be leaving at 10, 11 and 12. So if you want to leave early or later (the bars are open rather late) then you will just have to hop a cab back to the hotel.

Sunday I plan on recovering, and then recovering some more. Monday I will be going to the Spa with whomever would like to partake in pampering themselves. The spa is at the Cabo Surf Hotel. http://www.seaspacabo.com/

Brian is looking into putting a golfing trip together since the wedding is not until later in the day.

The wedding is kicking off at 5:30. Feel free to come right from the pool or beach. It will be on the sand at sunset, and then followed by a cocktail hour and then reception in the Estuary. It is all outside so bring something to keep you warm at night. It should be int he low 60s at night if I recall.

That is about it. You are free to do whatever you like. Plenty of fishing, snorkeling, atv tours, dolphin swimming etc.

We are going to go snorkeling one day and hope to take a surf lesson. We will plan that all when we are there and whoever wants to go is welcome.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

Can't wait!

Next month at this time

I will be a hitched lady. Which also means that I will no longer have to endure people butchering my last name. Which I will miss dearly. Crazy to think that Cabo is less than a month away. It has been a whirlwind of 8 months and I am glad to get it over with, as I'm sure that the coordinators that I sporadically email with ridiculous questions. I will be happy when I am finally done with the thank you notes from the shower which was three months ago. Thats what you get when you work 60+ hours a week!!! Anyhoo, we have about 75 people attending the wedding and can't wait to celebrate with you all. It seems like things are all falling into place. I will have Brian give his two cents once he awakens from his coma which was induced by his bachelor party last night. Pictures are welcome! Please let us know if you have any questions, or if you would like us to talk you into partaking in the festivities in Mexico. I can't wait to share pictures with you all. I am sure they will do no justice to the ridiculousness that will occur in Cabo but we can try. I am sure there will be plenty of times that we wish there were no cameras.

Again, thank you all for the support and gifts. We appreciate it all so much and can't wait to spend some quality time with our dearest friends and family (and some who are missing) for a whole week.

Here's to getting hitched in 08!!

Happy New Year everyone! We can officially say that we are getting married next month which is crazy! We have about 75 people coming in total and are ready to go! The only thing that you have to plan for is the sunset cruise on Saturday. We are going to be leaving on a bus around 4 that day so we can get to Cabo in time for the boat. They provide booze and some foods but I am assuming that most will want to dine out in Cabo San Lucas that night and hit up some of the local bars. You may even see me debut at "what's up" a local karaoke bar there that will never be the same after my Tina Turner, and Bri's Axel Rose impersonations.

Sunday night we will be having a dinner with just our relatives in San Jose, you know who you are. After last night's New Year's Eve festivities I think I may have to put some people on the tequila watch for me.

Monday's ceremony is planned for sunset. That should mean 5 or 5:30, I really can't remember. Oh and if you love us, please don't ask us what we are doing if it rains, has never crossed our minds and we will cross that bridge if and when we need to. The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail hour, and a live mariachi band. Then we can kick off our shoes (although I am not wearing any) and party it up. Dress is obviously as casual as you want or as dressy as you want. Noone will be judging, so if you want to wear shorts go for it. I just prefer no banana hammocks.

That is really it on our end. We will be doing some day trips and excursions and recommend that you get out there as well. You will have plenty of options to choose from when you get there. We did the ATV tour last time we were there and it was a blast! There is also snorkeling, fishing trips, and dolphin excursions to look into.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Non-Shower

Yesterday was our non-shower/barbacue and it was fabulous. We want to thank everyone who could make it, and especially thank our family members that helped to make it happen. We are glad you all got to experience our favorite bbq place, Uncle Petes. And hopefully by now you have been able to try Bri's own homemade bbq sauce that he slaved over all week! Here are some pictures from the barbacue. Once again thanks and we can't wait for CABO. I will work on my Mexican Hat Dance because judging by these pictures Bri did not think it was so hot.

PS For those of you who are planning on booking your room, we suggest you do it soon. The hotel is fully booked and we are getting close to our room block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shower October 20th

Hi everyone,

Its been a while since we have posted so here goes. Most people should have gotten the shower invitations (however I am finding that I have lots of wrong addresses). We are having a big barbacue for guys and girls as a big get together before the wedding. Our families are throwing it for us and we are hoping that this crazy hot weather continues so we can take advantage of the waterfront venue. It is going to be held at the Knights of Columbus in Nahant. Big Al pulled through with this one, he has been scoping it out via his binoculars. It is directly across from Revere Beach and will be from 2-6 on Saturday, October 20th. If you have not RSVP'd please let my Aunt Dotty know at dbuonomo@rcn.com

Cabo is just about 4 months away and more and more people are coming. If anyone needs any information about hotels and or airfare just ask. I found another cook website that seems to have lots of reasonable flights, www.sidestep.com

There are still plenty of rooms available on our block of rooms at the Presidente Intercontinental hotel. There are lanai rooms that are available if anyone is interested. They are first floor rooms that have an outside patio and hammock. If you are interested in this let me know and I can tell the hotel. It is more expensive, but I can let you know the price if interested.

We hope you can all make it to the barbacue! Bri is cooking up some of his homemade barbacue sauce (we have a little sweatshop going on here) for everyone. We hope you like it spicy!

6 Months til Cabo

We just returned from a great vacation to Bar Harbor, Maine and are looking forward to our next vacation to Cabo. We are less than 6 months away from the Cabo extravaganza but who's counting?!? Okay maybe us and everyone else who is going! Things are falling into place, more and more people are booking their flights and hotels. It would be ideal to know who is coming by the end of September. As soon as you book your flights you can book the hotel via the 1-800 number and the code: BUO (the exact number is below in older posts)

Since we know many people are unable to make it to Mexico, we decided to have a Jack and Jill shower. It will pretty much be a big barbacue on the water in Nahant on Saturday, October 20th. So be sure to mark that on your calendars. My lovely aunts are throwing that, so you can expect to hear from them.

We have booked a booze cruise or sunset cruise for you straight edge travellers for Saturday, the 16th. Not sure of the departure time but I will let you all know asap. All there are welcome, it fits up to 60 people so we should be all set. You can check out the tours at : http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Sunset-Cruise.htm

So if you still haven't booked but would like to there are still reasonable flights from Boston and surrounding areas. If you do not have a passport you will want to do that asap. Please let us know if you have any questions!
