Non-Shower

Yesterday was our non-shower/barbacue and it was fabulous. We want to thank everyone who could make it, and especially thank our family members that helped to make it happen. We are glad you all got to experience our favorite bbq place, Uncle Petes. And hopefully by now you have been able to try Bri's own homemade bbq sauce that he slaved over all week! Here are some pictures from the barbacue. Once again thanks and we can't wait for CABO. I will work on my Mexican Hat Dance because judging by these pictures Bri did not think it was so hot.

PS For those of you who are planning on booking your room, we suggest you do it soon. The hotel is fully booked and we are getting close to our room block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shower October 20th

Hi everyone,

Its been a while since we have posted so here goes. Most people should have gotten the shower invitations (however I am finding that I have lots of wrong addresses). We are having a big barbacue for guys and girls as a big get together before the wedding. Our families are throwing it for us and we are hoping that this crazy hot weather continues so we can take advantage of the waterfront venue. It is going to be held at the Knights of Columbus in Nahant. Big Al pulled through with this one, he has been scoping it out via his binoculars. It is directly across from Revere Beach and will be from 2-6 on Saturday, October 20th. If you have not RSVP'd please let my Aunt Dotty know at dbuonomo@rcn.com

Cabo is just about 4 months away and more and more people are coming. If anyone needs any information about hotels and or airfare just ask. I found another cook website that seems to have lots of reasonable flights, www.sidestep.com

There are still plenty of rooms available on our block of rooms at the Presidente Intercontinental hotel. There are lanai rooms that are available if anyone is interested. They are first floor rooms that have an outside patio and hammock. If you are interested in this let me know and I can tell the hotel. It is more expensive, but I can let you know the price if interested.

We hope you can all make it to the barbacue! Bri is cooking up some of his homemade barbacue sauce (we have a little sweatshop going on here) for everyone. We hope you like it spicy!

6 Months til Cabo

We just returned from a great vacation to Bar Harbor, Maine and are looking forward to our next vacation to Cabo. We are less than 6 months away from the Cabo extravaganza but who's counting?!? Okay maybe us and everyone else who is going! Things are falling into place, more and more people are booking their flights and hotels. It would be ideal to know who is coming by the end of September. As soon as you book your flights you can book the hotel via the 1-800 number and the code: BUO (the exact number is below in older posts)

Since we know many people are unable to make it to Mexico, we decided to have a Jack and Jill shower. It will pretty much be a big barbacue on the water in Nahant on Saturday, October 20th. So be sure to mark that on your calendars. My lovely aunts are throwing that, so you can expect to hear from them.

We have booked a booze cruise or sunset cruise for you straight edge travellers for Saturday, the 16th. Not sure of the departure time but I will let you all know asap. All there are welcome, it fits up to 60 people so we should be all set. You can check out the tours at : http://www.cabosanlucastours.net/Sunset-Cruise.htm

So if you still haven't booked but would like to there are still reasonable flights from Boston and surrounding areas. If you do not have a passport you will want to do that asap. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Hotel Info & Passports

Hi All!

We are very excited that so many of you have already booked your flights and want to provide you the hotel information. Just think, you can see Matt and Bri do their best impression of "Brokeback Cabo." You may even be able to get yourself a nice authentic Mexican cowboy hat!!

Lets get down to business. Lots of people have asked about the hotels and it would be best if you could book by late August/early September. We reserved plenty of rooms but if we do not use them we have the possibility of being charged for them if they are not booked by a particular time.

To make reservations, call this toll free Number: 1-800-327-0200
Code: BUO

Also, if you do not already have a passport, please register to get one as soon as possible. Due to government incompetence, wait times for the passport can be as long as 4-5 months.

Below is some information on where to get a passport, what you need, etc...

Thanks everyone, can't wait to see you all!

What are you doing February 18th????

If you found this website, then hopefully you are considering spending next years February vacation with us in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico for our wedding! The ceremony will be on Monday, February 18th.

We are very excited that so many of you have expressed interest in attending this shindig, and want to make planning this easy on all of you.

People have already booked their flights and will be there from Wednesday on. We will be arriving on Friday the 15th.

Flights are to San Jose Del Cabo/Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos. The airport code is SJD. A few people have booked flights flying out on Thursday the 14th and the flights seemed to be considerably cheaper. Check out www.cheaptickets.com as well as www.orbitz.com
for the latest prices.

The ceremony will be on Monday, the 18th. We want to give people ample time to make it to Mexico for the ceremony. We are considering this a week long vacation with all our loved ones, and oh yeah, there will be a little ceremony thrown in there, between all the dirty monkeys (You soon will learn what one of those is). We are thinking of bringing our own blender and having the bartenders fire those up whenever they see someone from our wedding party.

The hotel will cost about $160 per person/per night for a double room. That includes all food and drinks once you are there.
Single : $290.00 USD De luxe $ 290 per person
Double : $320.00 USD De luxe $160 per person
Triple : $350.00 USD De luxe about $111 per person

PRICES FOR CHILDREN:
* Children under 5 years of age, stay free with parents in the same room
* Children from 6 to 12 years of age, have an additional charge of US $20.00 USD daily, plus applicable tax.
* Extra person older than 13 years of age, have an additional charge of US $30.00 USD daily, plus applicable tax.
* No more than 3 adults in a room allowed.

The hotel is the Intercontinental Presidente Los Cabos Resort. It is about 20 minutes from the heart of Cabo San Lucas and in the quaint little town of San Jose Del Cabo and is an all-inclusive resort.

To make reservations, call this toll free Number: 1-800-327-0200
Code: BUO

If you want to look up pictures of the hotel here is the website:
http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ic/1/en/hotel/sjdha?_requestid=397364

We stayed at this resort last year and watched many couples get married on the beach. Once we started to think about what we wanted, that picture kept popping up in our heads.

We recommend to book your flights early as it is February school vacation and flights will book up and get increasingly more expensive the closer it gets. Also, you will need a passport and those are becoming increasingly more difficult to get in a timely fashion.

Most people have booked their flights on http://www.orbitz.com/, or www.cheaptickets.com They have had the best prices so far. You may want to play around with dates, especially if it will not be a problem getting off of work. You may also want to try finding good deals on orbitz, and then going directly to the airlines websites for cheaper deals. I recently looked up flights from Thursday the 14th til Wednesday and it was 319, which is about 350 dollars cheaper than I paid for a Friday to Saturday flight.

We realize this is a major commitment for people, and understand if you cannot attend, but sure hope that you can make it!

Cabo San Lucas may never be the same after the Buonomo/Merrill clan.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
